Summary

Gary plays the new band leader of Larry's latenight talkshow. Larry and the executives are very happy about his witty oneliners and they ask him to join the big Larry Sanders family. An offer Jake would love to accept, but there is one guy who tries to sabotage the whole thing. It's Hank, the 'funny man' of the show (he's the one who does the remarks from the 'off'), who gives Jake a lot of trouble. As a consequence Jake quitts and the episode ends with Jake and Hank fighting.

Comment

The episode is thoroughly amusing and entertaining ... Gary does a great job as the 'new kid on the block' who is mobbed by his jealous colleague. A real treat ... look out for the next re-run
